Kathryn E. "Kathie" Carpenter, nee Holton, age 72, beloved wife of George F. Carpenter; devoted mother of Frank (Beth), Alan (Laura) and Bill (Amy) Carpenter; loving grandmother of Benjamin, Andrew, Michael (Rachel), Nicholas, Mikayla, and Mitchell Carpenter; Dear sister of James (Anne) Holton; fond aunt of Stephen (Samantha) Holton, Christine (Woodford) Bowe, Kathryn (Timothy) Price and Lana (Billy) Ray; sister-in-law of Dorothy Carpenter. Kathie was a 30 year member and past Illinois state president of Questers.  She also enjoyed time spent with her husband, George, at the Morton Arboretum.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Visitation Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 10:00 am until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 am at the Arbor Room in Thornhill Estate of the Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Rt 53, (just North of I-88), Lisle, Illinois.

In loving memory of Kathie and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either The Illinois State Questers, c/o Linda Storm, 155 Dragon Fly Circle, Geneseo, IL  61254  or  the Morton Arboretum (www.MortonArb.org/make-donation)

I will always treasure the time we had together decorating cakes.

Many condolences to the Carpenter Family. Know that she is now resting in peace in God's arms and no longer in any pain. I met Kathie at Bill and Amy's wedding and became fast friends. She was quick-witted and happy. She had a good and happy life with her family. She will be greatly missed!
