Giuliana Romanini

Beloved Giuliana Romanini, age 91, of Downers Grove, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 peacefully in her sleep at home.

She was preceded in death by husband Lamberto Romanini;  parents Giulio & Angelina Paoletti; sister of Mirella (Angelino) Tuccori; Benito Paoletti; & Piero Tuccori; sister-in-law Anna Lisa Paoletti; and grandson Michael Romanini.

The beloved Mother of Angie (Paul) Skiba and Benny (Beverly) Romanini; beloved sister of John (Corey) Paoletti; Nonna to Mark (Gianna) Skiba, Gina Skiba, and Luke (Cara) Romanini; Zia to Carla (Luigi) Giovani, Concetta (Franco) Romoli, Giulia Baisi, Paul & Tony Paoletti;  Bisnonna of Logan & Mason Romanini; and Great Aunt of Chase Paoletti.

Giuliana was always one ready to work, she spent her life doing anything to better herself and the life of her family. Starting her life in Italy and coming over to the states losing her husband with 2 young children. She wore many hats to provide and never refused a job. 

Her love of family was shown in many ways, mostly through cooking and time together. As a sous chef to Benny during the holidays or helping Angie get ready for events at the house. She was always ready to help get stuff ready in the kitchen from start to finish. A couple of weeks ago she made sauce with her grandkids and great grandkids. She would never turn down a good antipasto platter or a glass of wine.  As long as the family was together, she was happy in her heart.

Funeral Services will be held Monday November 27th, 2023, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8404 South Cass Ave., Darien, Il. Visitation 10:00 am until time of mass at 11:00 am. Interment Following Funeral Service at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Hillside, IL.
