Adrienne Stephens, nee Rickert, age 82, was born in Chicago on November 22, 1934, the middle child of three to Sherwood A. and Dorothy E. Nimtz Rickert. She met her husband to be in Palm Beach, Florida, and on a beautiful April night, Adrienne Rickert fell in love with Jack N. Stephens. They were married on June 8, 1957 and were married for 52 years until Jack's death in 2010.
Adrienne was the devoted mother of Laurie (Rick) Lawrence, Lance (Amy), Greg (Judy), Bethany Stachura, Jill (Michael) Dvoracek, and Preston (Laura) and loving grandmother of Ashley, Kyle, Jack, Kaytlyn, Daniel, Rachel, Brynn, Ella, Hunter, Layne, Evan, Kailey, Kloe and Karly. She celebrated her one great-grandchild Violet. Adrienne was the dear sister of Lynn Tijerina and Alan Rickert She was a fond aunt and friend of many.
Adrienne also loved her church family very much. She served her church as a board member, bible study leader and “interior decorator”. Adrienne enjoyed working for 25 years at her family business in which served as a working partner.
Visitation will be held Sunday 3:00 – 8:00 pm, with Eulogy Service at 7:00 pm, at Hobson Road Community Church, 2531 Hobson Rd, Downers Grove, where funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 am. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery. In loving memory of Adrienne, memorials may be made to Hobson Road Community Church.
