Alan R. Woods

Alan R. Woods, age 79, beloved husband of Pat, nee Eggert; devoted father of Debbie (Craig) Larson, Sharon (Dave) Palm, Barbara (John Lind) Woods and Robert (Karen Idelson) Woods; loving grandfather of Stephanie (Jason) Snelten, Nicole (Todd) Herrmann, Kevin Larson, Liz (Alex) Argo, Eric Palm, Natalie Lind, Emily Lind, Alyvia Lind and Stella Woods; great-grandfather of Lucas & Adam Argo and Jacob Snelten; dear brother of Jan (James) Kosco and Don (Marge) Woods; fond uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Alan will be remembered for his great humor, his tireless work ethic and the many talents that he passed on to future generations, through which he lives on.  His devotion to God was matched only by his unending love for his family, to whom he dedicated his life.  His warmth, hugs and wise advice will be missed every day.  He was a true gentleman.

Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1101 Kimberly Way, Lisle, IL where Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers and in loving memory of Alan, memorial donations will be appreciated to either American Parkinson Disease Association - Midwest Chapter, 1800 N. Main St, Suite 215, Wheaton, IL  60187  (www.apdamidwest.org) or to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1101 Kimberly Way, Lisle, IL  60532.
