Carol Carlson (nee Spuehler-Abrham), 74, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. She was born November 2, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harold and Florence (nee Hayden) Spuehler.
Carol is survived by her children Steven Abrham, Laura Czarnecki, and Kathy (Eric) Walters; grandchildren Brandon, Brian, Matthew, Allyson, Kaitlyn, James, and Delaney; and great-grandchildren Olivia, Ava, and Dominick.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lester Carlson, Jr.; and her sister Deanna Spuehler.
Carol was, obviously, an avid Bears Fan from her license plate to her wardrobe and everything in between. Carol was known to enjoy Miller 64s and her “Grandma’s special water”. In Carol’s free time, she loved taking care of her garden/flowers. Carol also wouldn’t let a day go by without getting her computer poker points. Carol started her days with a couple pots of coffee, reading her newspaper and completing her crossword puzzles.
Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024, from 3 pm until 8 pm at Bucaro Funeral Home, 485 W. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale, Illinois. Visitation Saturday, August 10, from 9 am until time of service at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island, Illinois.
The family encourages anyone attending the visitation to wear Bears’ attire.
