Cynthia “Cindy” Joyce Jania (age 63)

Passed away peacefully Wednesday June 5, 2019 in the comfort of her home. She was born August 18, 1955, in Chicago, to Walter “Wally” and Bernadine “Bernie” (Piwnicki) Fila. She was a 1973 graduate of Nazareth Academy. She worked as a 911 Dispatcher for the North Riverside Police Department for many years and retired in 2012. Cindy was always someone you could count on. She cared deeply for others and had an uncanny ability to reach people on a personal level. She will be remembered as the beloved wife and fishing partner of Tim for 41 years. The loving & devoted mother of Cassandra “Casey” (Paul) Veasman, Timothy “T.J.” (Beth nee: Michiels) Jania, and Rebecca “Becky” Jania (Dylan Swift). The exceptionally proud and doting Nana of Zachary P. Veasman, and James T. Jania. The treasured sister of the late Laura (Al) Lesko and the late Wally Fila. And the favorite aunt, cousin, colleague, and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
