Diane Baumhardt, nee Dunbar, age 77, was born March 1, 1938 in Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of MacInnis Dunbar and Blanche Squire Dunbar. Diane passed away April 27, 2015 in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is now at peace. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Baumhardt. Diane and Robert married on August 4, 1961. Diane is survived by her devoted children: Brooke (David) Kauffman and Rob (Beth) Baumhardt; five loving grandchildren: Zoe, Max, Sam, Connor, and Sawyer; a dear sister: Dorothy (Frank) Bickmore; long time companion Bill Biedermann along with Bill's family: his daughters Debbie (Jim) Divita and Gayle (Bill) Collins and granddaughter Adrienne, all of whom had a special relationship with Diane.
Diane was preceded in death by her brothers, Duncan and Billy Dunbar.
Diane attended William Woods College in Jefferson City, MO from 1956-1957. She then attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL from 1957-1959. Diane used her skills to serve as treasurer of the PTO and then treasurer of the Prospect Heights Nursery School. She loved to golf and play tennis and truly enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, May 14 from 11am - 12pm with a luncheon following at Old Orchard Country Club, 700 W. Rand Rd, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056
