Elsie Ciszek Obituary

Ciszek

Elsie E. Ciszek nee: Reich age 99
Was born to Mary Novak and Frank Reich on July 18, 1920 in Iselin, Pennsylvania. She grew and lived all her life in the Heart of Chicago. She was proud to say she came from the Pilsen neighborhood. Devoted & loyal to her community, her church, her family and her friends. Elsie’s life was full of 99 years of love, life and laughs. “They say you can take the girl out of the neighborhood but not the neighborhood out of the girl” so it is true with Elsie… Up until 3 years ago she lived in her home on 23rd Street with her sister Mary, and then the two were separated as Elsie moved into be cared for by her daughter Donna and Mary moved in with her brother Billy in Oak Lawn, IL. Elsie enjoyed living and being around her family in  Twin Lakes, Wisconsin and the calmness the country brought and her winter trips with Donna and Craig that were spent in Bushnell, Florida  getting away from the cold but her heart always missed being away from her sister Mary, as they did everything together. In the early the morning of Sunday, January 26th, Elsie was called to her new heavenly home.   When Mary heard that her sister, Elsie, died, she joined her 12 hours later …

 Elsie must have said:
“Remember all the days we spent together, and how we hoped that they would never end? They never really did, my Dear Mary. Now we are together again- reunited with Chris, Momma and Daddy. Heaven has been almost perfect.  But true Paradise, began today when He sent me out to greet you so we would all be –together again.”

Elsie leaves behind all those who dearly loved her- She was a Loving mother of Daniel (Rosanne) Ciszek, Donna (Craig Cerer). Treasured grandmother of Jim (Maureen) Cerer, Julie (Mike) Siegler, Dan (Tracy), David (Beth), Paul, Mark, Steve (Amber) Ciszek, Jim (Maureen) Cerer, Julie (Mike) Siegler. Great grandmother of Jace, Jacob, Joey, Samantha, Tyler Ciszek and Brianna James, AJ, Matthew, Corey, Austin, Aiden Cerer, Logan, Hailey Siegler. Great- great grandmother of Corbin Sloan. Elsie was an aunt of Barbara and Carol Reich. Great aunt to Daniel (Mary Kate), Anne Marie, Glenn (Autumn), Sheri (Dominick), Great-Great aunt to Grace, Ellie, Zoey, Reilly and Nixon. Who will miss her most is her favorite pet, her dog Willie who was always by her side and protected her when anyone came close to her.
