Gail D. Ryan, nee Norman was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 7, 1937, the daughter of Jacob and Edna, nee Anstett, Norman. Gail married Ed Ryan on March 23, 1969 at Faith Lutheran Church in Cicero, Illinois, and they enjoyed over 50 wonderful years of marriage until Ed’s death in 2019. Gail was the loving mother of Andy Ryan and Rachel (Kenny) Andrews and the cherished grandmother of Colton, Owen and Grace Andrews. She was the dear sister of the late Michael (Roseanna) Norman
Gail worked at Argonne National Laboratory as a chemist for several years before becoming a homemaker.
She was an active member and volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisle for over 50 years and was a member of the Adult Bible Study class.
Her interests included gardening, bird watching, playing Scrabble and crossword puzzles. She loved visiting the Morton Arboretum as well as playing bridge. Gail was a member of the Maplebridge Marathon Bridge Group and the Naperville Park District Duplicate Bridge Club.
