Gumaro C. Marquez, age 62, was born October 3, 1958 in Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of the late Francisco Marquez Guzman and Juanita Cossio Gonzalez. He was raised on a ranch and learned to work hard. This trait would follow him throughout his life. Looking for an improved life, then came to the United States in the 1970s.
Gumaro was the loving husband of Anna K. Moore. Gumaro and Anna met as neighbors in Elk Grove Village. The relationship started and a year later the two moved to Schaumburg. This would develop into a 26 year relationship of sharing and love.
Gumaro was the father of Elizabeth Sierra, Gina Marquez, Nancy Marquez, Jason (Karisa) Moore, Adam (Kristin Ringa) Moore, Taryn Moore and the late Lauren Moore and devoted grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 1. He was raised with a large family having 8 sisters and 5 brothers. He was also the uncle and nephew of many.
Being a hard worker, Gumaro worked for 41 years at Kiene Diesel Accessories in Addison, Illinois. Along with that, he also worked 15 years as a supervisor at UPS in Addison.
Those who knew Gumaro described him as loving and kind, as a good person. He was generous with his time and always willing to help others. Everybody loved him. Gumaro loved to help. He also loved his kids, grandchildren and his dogs… and he spoiled them all.
Family and friends are invited to join for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1005 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg, Illinois from 9:00 – 11:00 am with Memorial Mass at 11:00 am.
