Harold Charles Rushton, age 83, was born February 2, 1936 in Chicago, IL, the son of Harold and Jean Hahn Rushton. After high school Harold served in the US Army, being stationed in Japan. After the service, Harold met Bernadine Duda on a blind date, and it worked out pretty well, Harold and Bernadine started a loving marriage in 1956 which lasted 62 years until her death in 2018. Harold and Bernadine then began a family and moved to Schiller Park.
Harold was the loving father of Scott (Susan) Rushton, Denise Rushton and Bernadine (Tim) Shields; cherished grandfather of Phillip (Heather) Rushton, Matthew Shields, Michael Rushton, Stephanie Shields, Katelyn Shields, Rita Rushton and Brendan Rushton. Dear brother of Joyce Clark and Gary (Chris) Rushton. Fond uncle of many.
Harold was always a hard worker and a good provider. He was a strong family man, loving his wife and children. He always had a joke for whoever would listen. His solid and caring spirit will be sadly missed.
