James (Jim) Patrick Burian, age 51 of Bolingbrook, Illinois.
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at his home.
Jim was born August 31, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois to Arnold (Arnie) and Kathleen (Katie) Burian. He is preceded in death by his brother Robert (Bobby) Burian and mother Kathleen (Katie) Ruffner. He is survived by his wife, Ashlee (Heid), son Lucas Burian, daughter Marissa Wolfe, father Arnold (Arnie) Burian, sister Jeanne Burian, niece Emily Bertucci and best beloved beagle Ranger.
Jim was an avid sports lover with an infectious laugh and sense of humor. He was a loyal friend and well known to do anything he could to help others. He was a proud and devoted father, a loving husband, a caring son, and a best friend to many who shared a special bond with him.
As evidenced by the incredible outpouring of love and support from so many that were lucky enough to be part of his life’s journey, it’s obvious Jimmy collected dear friends throughout his life, from his first job delivering pizza, his mailroom crew, his time working for Joliet Corrections Facility, and the final accomplishment of his 20-year tenure at Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network as Manager of Transportation & Facilities.
Jimmy was passionate about encouraging organ donation and the impact it had on so many lives, and it is of great comfort to his loved ones that he will live on in all the anonymous lives he saved, and all of our cherished memories of the happiness and love he brought to so many.
A short graveside ceremony will be held Saturday December 18, 2021. Family and friends meeting at 10:45am at the office entrance of Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery 6001 W 111th St. Alsip, Illinois.
Jim touched the lives of so many and it’s our turn to give back to his family in their time of need. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made toward Jim’s burial in Jimmy’s memory. This would be greatly appreciated by his family as his passing was completely unexpected. Any excess money will be donated to Oak Forest High School High School Athletic booster club. Jim was a Bengal for life, he would love that.
