Jean (Firkins) Ashmore

Jean Ashmore, 75

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt Martha "Jean" Ashmore (nee, Firkins), 75, formerly of Prior Lake, Minnesota passed away December 8, 2020.

Jean was born in Creston, Iowa to Boyd and Thelma Firkins on January 27, 1945. She grew up in Greenfield, Iowa with future stops (among others) in Newton, Iowa; Prior Lake; and Glen Ellyn, Illinois.  Jean always had a smile on her face and loved spending time with her family, especially at the yearly Firkins reunions. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Thelma; and two sisters Sharon Elliott and Judy Weaver.

Jean is survived by her son Brian (Jennifer) Ashmore and two grandsons, Owen and Jonathan Ashmore; her sister Donna Mackerley and her brother Carl Firkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).

Services for Jean will be private.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Lexington of Lombard and Lexington Hospice Care for their support and care throughout the health crisis and in her final days.
