Jeanne Graff Garcia

Jeanne Graff Garcia, age 94, of Northbrook, Illinois, was born on May 6, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to Edna and Joseph Graff.  Jeanne passed away on May 30, 2017.

She graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois and attended High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. Jeanne’s passions included bowling and gardening.  She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lake Bluff chapter and Christ Church, Winnetka, Illinois.     

Jeanne is preceded in death by husband, Lorenz Garcia; her parents, Edna and Joseph Graff; and sister, Mary Graff Talbott.   

Surviving are her daughter, Bee (Bob) McCormick; son, Larry (Paula) Garcia; son, Bill Garcia; daughter, Meg (Tim) Ives; eight grandchildren, Chris Garcia, Amanda (Brandon) Grell, Rebecca McCormick, Kara McCormick, Carl Garcia, Lori Garcia, Emma Ives, Maddie Ives; and great- granddaughters Lily Grell and Lauren Grell. 

Family and friends may gather for a memorial service to be held at Christ Church, 784 Sheridan Road, Winnetka, Illinois on July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Stroke Association (www.stroke.org).
