JOSEPH “JOE” ALBERT NASTI (age 76)

U.S. ARMY VETERAN

October 12,1946 - November 6, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Albert Nasti. He was born October 12, 1946 and passed away November 6, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Joseph beloved husband of 40 years to Helen nee Gregorich; loving father of Francesa (Kevin) Roth and Joseph (Randi) Nasti; proud Nonno to Mateja, Cora and Dominic Joseph; treasured brother to James (Dorothy) Nasti; cherished brother in law, Stric/Uncle, cousin and friend to all. He is preceded in death by his Father Albert Nasti and Mother Mary nee Dinardo.

He lived an abundantly rich life dedicated to his family, his country, his faith and community. He grew up in the city in the heart of Oakley, where he built lasting friendships and unforgettable memories. He served his country in the Army as a Helicopter mechanic. He ran a successful business for many years, but his true passion was cooking. He loved being in the kitchen and feeding people. He loved to ski and travel. He dedicated much of his time to the Italian and Slovenian communities, where he met so many kind people and touched many lives. He was a true gentleman and a great example of a husband, father and grandfather. He had a beautiful dedicated wife of 40 years, 2 proud children and their spouses and was affectionately referred to as Nonno by his 3 adoring grandchildren. Joe was one of a kind, generous and funny. Rough around the edges, but a kind heart to those who knew him best. He will be greatly missed by many. Joe’s family invites you to celebrate his memorable life on November 11, 2022 at St. Mary’s Slovenian Catholic Mission. 14246 Main St. Lemont, IL 60439.  Visitation will be from 9am until 10am. Mass will follow at 10am and Military Salute will conclude the service after Mass.
