Loren G. Burroughs, 55, of Sugar Grove, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. He was born January 31, 1966, in Arlington Heights, Illinois to Wymond “Gene” and Lois (née Hardy) Burroughs.
Loren is survived by his wife Janice (née Castro Rosario) Burroughs; his children Abigail and Joshua Burroughs; his parents Gene and Lois of Halls, Tennessee; his brother Michael (Barbara) Burroughs of Carol Stream, Illinois; his sisters Cindy (Michael) Goodof of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Gwen (Bill) Straka of Dyersburg, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be joining in heaven his infant brother Wymond Burroughs, Jr.
Loren grew up in Melrose Park, Illinois, and graduated from West Leyden High School. He started working at Mullins Food Products in Broadview, Illinois, at the age of 16, where he has worked for 39 years. Loren met Janice at Mullins in 1988. He was proud to have purchased his childhood home in 1999 and was married to Janice in 2000. They welcomed their son Joshua in 2002 and daughter Abigail in 2004. They built their dream house in Sugar Grove, Illinois in July of 2005 and have lived there since. Loren enjoyed spending time with family and friends - whether it was sporting events, barbecues, going to the shooting range, or just spending time together. He was always smiling and knew how to make someone laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation Saturday, March 27, 2021, from 1:30 pm until time of Celebration of Life at 5 pm, at Village Bible Church - Sugar Grove Campus, 847 North State Route 47, Sugar Grove, Illinois 60554 (Route 47 and Bliss Road). All are invited to celebrate Loren's life. (Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing are required at the church.)

Interment will be private. In remembrance of Loren, please wear something colorful - he loved the color blue and his Hawaiian shirts.
