Patricia Wanda Hiscock, 80, cast off the cancer she had courageously fought on July 4, 2023. With the certainty of her salvation in Jesus, she undoubtedly ran to the rainbow bridge and the
beloved dogs who awaited her.
Pat’s life was characterized by deep love for family and animals, independence, and intelligence. While she was noted for her stunning beauty and elegant style, Pat never forgot she was a
“strong Lithuanian woman” and determinedly accomplished her goals.
At 19 years old, Pat eloped with Charles Gilbert Hiscock. The young couple beat the odds and remained married for more than 60 years. They welcomed four children: Laura Lea, Charles
Glenn (Kelly), James Matthew, and Philip Joseph (Tiffany). Pat proudly attended all her children’s events, cooked gourmet meals on a budget, decorated special birthday cakes, and
skillfully sewed clothing and quilts. Her 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Charles, Alison, Frederick, Christopher, Chelsea, Savanna, Audrey, and Nathanael were the lights of her life.
When Pat made up her mind, nothing stopped her. She graduated from Northwestern University while commuting 3 hours per day and raising a family. Her entrepreneurial spirit and
love of German Shepherds produced national champions and a sire to the prestigious Rin Tin Tin line. An exceptionally talented writer, Pat's work was nationally published. She served her
community as a commissioner for the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department and writer for The Woodridge Progress.
Pat is survived by her family and two brothers, Joseph Eric Sidlauskas (Kay) and Stephen Brian Sidlauskas. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph John and Wanda Agnilska Sidlauskas
(Shlaitas).
Visitation will be held at Hobson Road Community Church in Downers Grove from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 8th, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM and private
internment.
