Susan W Terhorst

It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sue Terhorst. 

Susan W. Terhorst, age 75, was born August 29, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of James and Irene, nee Regelman, Winstel. 

She was the loving mother of Bill (Melissa) Terhorst, Jen (Kevin) Dotson and Kim (Bob) Williams; cherished grandmother of Zachary, Ryan, Caroline, Katelyn and Allison Terhorst and Alyssa (Tony) Lemke, Addison and Gabriella Williams, great-grandmother of Leighton and Rowan Lemke; dear sister of Louise (late James) Hawkinberry; fond aunt and great-aunt of many.  Sue was the longtime fiancé of late Richard McMahon.

Sue had a special tenderness, a kindness, that gave her the ability to love so many lucky people as a mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time in nature and on beaches.  For years she hosted her family at a house in South Haven, Michigan.  She and Rich also made great memories together enjoying the beach and water.  Sue was also a member at the Morton Arboretum and Brookfield Zoo which made perfect destinations for the kids and grandkids.

Sue also enjoyed her work as a longtime legal secretary for a law firm in Oak Brook.  During her life, Sue contributed time and talent to several churches:  St. Scholastica Parish, Woodridge; St. Patrick Parish, Yorkville; Grace Pointe Church, Plainfield.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 3:00-8:00  pm at Sue's home in Yorkville.  Please contact her children for location details.

Family and Friends may gather at St. Patrick Parish, 406 Walnut St., Yorkville, Illinois after 10:30 am for Memorial Mass at 11:00 am.
