William Terhorst Obituary

William E. Terhorst, age 74, was born April 21, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of William J. and Veronica, nee McNally, Terhorst.  

Bill was the former husband of Susan Terhorst, father of Bill (Melissa) Terhorst, Jen (Kevin) Dotson and Kim (Bob) Williams, grandfather of Zachary, Ryan, Caroline, Katelyn and Allison Terhorst and Alyssa (Tony) Lemke, Addison and Gabriella Williams, great- grandfather of Leighton and Rowan Lemke, step-father of Thomas (Jaime) Holevas and Kathryn (Tom) Dow.

Bill served active duty in the US Army and was stationed in Korea from November 1970 until December 1971.  During his time in Korea he attained the rank of Sergeant E-5 and was tasked as a Military Police patrol supervisor.   Bill moved to Illinois from Pittsburgh in 1979, bringing with him his love of both the Steelers and Pirates.  He enjoyed his work as a general manager for auto dealerships and was successful at it.

Family and Friends may gather for a Memorial Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut St., Yorkville, Illinois on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 10:00 am.  Military Honors and Burial will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
